History

Sports Car Center (SCC) has a long history in English and Italian classic cars and sports cars. The company started in the backyard of the parental home of SCC founder Jan Gijzen. His first purchase, a Triumph TR3, was the start of a diverse collection of classic cars and sports cars. Struck by the car virus, Jan enthusiastically decided to turn his hobby into his profession (1965).

Due to the continuing growing car collection, a new location was found and SCC settled in The Hague (1967). At this new location, the company grew into a renowned garage in the Netherlands for maintenance, purchase and sale of classic English (including: Triumph, Austin Healey, Morgan and Jaguar) and Italian (including: Bugatti, Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo) cars and sports cars.

Once again SCC outgrew its setting and new location was found in Wagenberg (1975) to answer the growing demand for restoration of classic racing cars and cars. It was here that SCC became not only a concept in the Netherlands, but truly became a world staple. SCC maintains customers from around the world. To this day, a team of specialists in Wagenberg is working at the highest level on English and Italian sports cars and classic cars.
